Aigas Wildlife
Aigas is exceptionally well placed for exploring the Highlands and uncovering some of Scotland's finest wildlife. In the grounds of the estate we have badgers, pine marten, otter, roe deer, red deer, red squirrel and of course our famous beavers. We have Ospreys, peregrines, red kites, and golden eagle all breeding locally, and red-throated and black-throated divers frequent our nearby lochs. You can even see Capercaillie here thanks to our captive breeding programme which is run in collaboration with the Highland Wildlife Park and Edinburgh Royal Zoological Society.
If you're looking for a ready-made wildlife-watching holiday in the Highlands of Scotland then we'd like to recommend our "Aigas Wildlife Weeks" or our very popular "Wild Animals in the Scottish Landscape" weeks. If you enjoy bird watching then our Brilliant Bird Watching weeks are a great choice, whether you're an expert or a beginner. If you'd like to learn more about our badgers, pine martens, beavers, local birds, or capercaillie breeding programme then simply follow the links.
We've been delivering first-class wildlife and
