AIGAS FIELD CENTRE CORONAVIRUS GUIDANCE FOR GUESTS

Aigas Field Centre is committed to ensuring the health and safety of all guests and, to this end, this policy sets out steps we are taking, including expectations that are placed upon our guests and employees. We are in close and frequent contact with our local doctor’s surgery and have policies and procedures in place to handle a broad range of scenarios appropriately.

The situation is changing on a daily basis, though at the moment we are encouraged by the low risk status of the Highlands of Scotland. Outdoor activities and small group travel such as the nature of our wildlife programmes, are not considered a high risk.

INFECTION CONTROL MEASURES

We strongly encourage all visiting guests to follow these guidelines from the World Health Organisation on infection control, both whilst at work and in their daily lives. This includes:

We ask that guests who have visited any of the high risk areas in the last month alert us of this prior to their arrival at Aigas so we can take appropriate precautions. We also ask all guests to keep themselves up to date with government guidance on the countries which require self-isolation upon return, and bear in mind that this guidance can change on a daily basis.

We have taken steps to ensure our staff are all following these guidelines and are doing everything to minimise risk.

All field centre vehicles, communal spaces and accommodation is cleaned daily, however we have increased the frequency and use of anti-bacterial cleaning products.

If you begin to display symptoms of the virus, you must follow government guidance to find out what to do next, which may involve internet and phone services. You should not go to hospital or your doctor’s surgery. Please notify us of this as soon as possible.
