Aimee Johnson

Academic Placement Student

Growing up with England’s first Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (the Quantock Hills) on her doorstep, Aimee quickly gained an interest in the natural world and an awareness of the challenges it faces in the modern age. This led Aimee to studying a degree in Conservation Biology and Ecology at the University of Exeter, which has focused her interests on ecological restoration and how it can be used to adapt to and help mitigate climate change. Aimee is looking forward to improving her natural history skills and spending a year basking in the glory of the Scottish Highlands via outdoor pursuits, such as hiking and wild swimming in her spare time.
