Aigas Field Centre is ideally located for exploring the Highlands of Scotland and the plethora of wildlife that lives here, both on the Aigas estate and in the surrounding landscape. Accompanied by an Aigas ranger, guests will spend their days in search of dolphins, eagles (both golden and white-tailed), red and black-throated divers, a plethora of waders and seabirds, red and roe deer and many more coveted native and migratory species. The Aigas hides are frequently visited by pine martens and badgers and the loch is home to beavers with visiting otters and ospreys. Guests will also have to opportunity to see one of Aigas’ wildcats.
Good company, delicious food, luxurious accommodation, spectacular scenery, fascinating wildlife – what more could one desire from a holiday! Long may Aigas continue!

I tried a Naturedays Open House recently and it's *exactly* what I've been trying to create out of the wooded spaces near where I live. But someone's already done it (Fin, as far as I can tell - based on my own experience and from what other home-edding parents have told me about them). Its pedagogy is something I've been trying to find for years (both in the Highlands and Central Belt) and I'm so happy that it exists here - if Fin ran this programme more regularly (essentially a forest school for older kids, not just nursery), we'd be scrambling to sign up.

We were with a Road Scholar tour and enjoyed a delightful day at Aigas. The history of the grounds, the beauty of the gardens, the delightful lunch, and most of all the kindness and caring by the Lady and her daughter Hermione. The gardens are stunning with flowers, bushes, sequoia trees and much more. So peaceful and such a commitment to conservation. Everyone in our group loved it.
