The Aigas season begins in April and will finish in October. We are running more programmes than ever to cater for a wide variety of interests. If your holiday with us is dependant on dates, please search the calendar below to find out what is on during your preferred dates. Alternatively, you might like to look at a tailormade holiday and create your own itinerary.

I stayed at the Aigas Field Centre for a week with a foray from the Audubon Naturalist Society. I'd read books by Sir John Lister-Kaye and had been in Scotland before, so I had high hopes, but this place topped them all. The young Rangers who took us out each day knew all the birds, the mammals, and the geology. Beauty was everywhere, on the grounds of the House of Aigas and in the lovely Highlands country. I loved the focus on the landscape and the environment; I loved the historical aspects. I loved seeing the Scottish wildcats, red grouse, and a golden eagle feeding a weasel to its chicks. And I loved Sir John reading us "bedtime stories." Walking around the loch at Aigas with Warwick was a treat. Seeing the site of The Lord of the Isles on the Isle of Islay was a treat.The food, under the direction of Lady Lucy, was wonderful, and the solicitude for guest comfort was genuine and on-going. I'm now hoping I can return some day!

Three years later, I can still say it was the best holiday we've had. Our boys were 9 and 7 at the time and they still talk about that week. The highlight for the boys was the visit to the pine marten and badger hide - the pine marten did everything but tap dance for us. The rangers were fantastic with the children (and the adults!) and were great role models - my now 12 year old is still determined to work as a ranger at Aigas. The boys really learned to notice things around them during that week, and the effect of that has lasted. We will take them back when they're a bit older for one of the other programmes. Oh, and Lady Lucy's food is delicious......

Three years later, I can still say it was the best holiday we've had. Our boys were 9 and 7 at the time and they still talk about that week. We spent a week at Aigas as part of a Road Scholar program and had a wonderful experience! The programs were carefully presented by Sir John Lister-Kaye and his carefully selected Rangers. The accommodations were rustic but comfortable and the food, overseen by Lady Lucy Lister-Kaye, was delicious and locally sourced. It was an incredible learning opportunity that we highly recommend. If you want to learn about the history, geology, biology and culture of the Scottish Highlands, you will not find a better way to do so.

We spent a week at Aigas as part of a Road Scholar program and had a wonderful experience! The programs were carefully presented by Sir John Lister-Kaye and his carefully selected Rangers. The accommodations were rustic but comfortable and the food, overseen by Lady Lucy Lister-Kaye, was delicious and locally sourced. It was an incredible learning opportunity that we highly recommend. If you want to learn about the history, geology, biology and culture of the Scottish Highlands, you will not find a better way to do so.
