The Aigas season begins in April and will finish in October. We are running more programmes than ever to cater for a wide variety of interests. If your holiday with us is dependant on dates, please search the calendar below to find out what is on during your preferred dates. Alternatively, you might like to look at a tailormade holiday and create your own itinerary.

Just returned from the Wild Animals in a Highland Landscape week. I am delighted to say that the whole experience was so worthwhile. Aigas is like nowhere we have been before. You become totally absorbed in the rhythms and way of life at Aigas, and how Sir John and Lady Lucinda have turned what is essentially their home into a peaceful and welcoming retreat and educational centre, far from the hustle and bustle of daily life. My partner was a little apprehensive that the other guests would be dedicated twitchers - there was certainly a lot of knowledge around the table, but people wanted to share their passions which was infectious, and it was a very friendly environment. Must mention the engaging Dr David - never thought bog myrtle and owl pellets could be so fascinating - and the rangers who are dedicated and enthusiastic. We saw all the wildlife we had hoped for, including dolphins, ospreys, red squirrels (outside our cabin) badger, beavers and pine martin, and some very beautiful parts of the Highlands. The programme is full on, but never rushed. The food was wonderful, and Lady Lucinda went out of her way to help when my boots disintegrated! All in all, a much needed chance to 'stand and stare', breath deeply in the clear air, and re-connect with the natural world.

The hosts at Aigas were Sir John and Lady Lucy Lister Kaye, he a naturalist and writer and she a gardener and superb cook. Both were gracious, welcoming and most informative. The rangers who drove the vehicles to take us to Scottish places of interest were very capable and kind. Scotland,in the Highlands is bewitching. Was not surprised to find the weather too cool and wet. Out of ten days three were sunny and the sky blue. Those three days were a surprise. A traveler comes prepared. The cabins we stayed in were fine. Each room had its private bathroom. All meals, teas and talks took place in the manor house. Three fine dogs were a bonus.

We absolutely loved the log cabins which were warm and cosy and totally in keeping with the ethos of Aigas - lots of space, everything we needed, a kitchen area with hospitality tray and a really comfortable living area for everyone to meet if they wanted, all set in the wonderful grounds of Aigas House. We went there for the Highland House Party week and had changeable weather but that didn't affect our enjoyment in any way. Every day was a different expereincve and we could wax lyrical for pages and pages - the food was wonderful and every consideration was made for special diets and likes and dislikes. The wildlife and scenery were really amazing and the whole experience was quite unlike anything we had experienced before. We cannot wait to return in 2014. If you have the chance to attend one of the open days - jump at it, you won't be disappointed
