Wildlife Watercolours with Darren Woodhead
We invite you to join Darren Woodhead RSW MA(RCA) SWLA, author of ‘From Dawn till Dusk’ and ‘Up River, The Song of the Esk’, for a week of Watercolour absorption and exploration, using the wealth of scenery and wildlife around the Aigas Field Centre.
Through a range of both studio sessions and field excursions, you will be guided through how to gain the most from your preparatory drawings and studies, how to develop and take them further, and learn how to accomplish painting purely field based works – Darren’s love and speciality.
Highlights Include:
- Illustrated talks and demonstrations throughout.
- Learn Watercolour Basics.
- Developing your way of capturing as much field information as possible.
- Learn about Paper, Colour, brushes.
- Learn about the Art of ‘Washes’.
- Explore the importance of composition.
- Darren’s tutorage and support throughout.
- Each student will receive their own ‘Welcome Pack’.
- Ranger led visits to hides for pine marten, badger, wildcat and more.
- Access to the stunning Aigas Field Centre area, loch, workshop space as well as the stunning Highland scenery and Natural history.
- End of week show and tell and exhibition.
The level of tuition will be suitable for all comers, including beginners and improvers.
