The Aigas season begins in April and will finish in October. We are running more programmes than ever to cater for a wide variety of interests. If your holiday with us is dependant on dates, please search the calendar below to find out what is on during your preferred dates. I stayed at Aigas for 7 nights. nothing was too much trouble for Sir John and Lady Lucy Lister-Kaye. All the rangers are highly motivated, doing a job they love. Where else can you see beaver kits, otters,eagles and buzzards, dissect owl pellets, track badgers, wait for hours for pine martins, and identify moths. An Eco dolphin boat trip was also included. The food is second to none, and included breakfast, lunch, afternoon tea and a 3 course evening meal. All the staff were friendly. The accomodation was very clean in log cabins, with private bathroom and kitchenette. highly recommended to any bird/wildlife enthusiast.

I knew it had an excellent wildlife reputation but I was rather put off by the prominence in the publicity of the aristocratic owners and their name-dropping connections to royalty etc. I had to dispel these prejudices to book a week's wildlife watching and I'm so glad I did. Not cheap but a great week and excellent customer service, not least from the Lady of the house and the brilliant Aigas rangers, whose local and wildlife knowledge was amazing. Food was great and the log cabin accommodation fine (it was a pleasure not to have TV and only limited internet connection as I immersed myself in the week's wildlife). Aigas staff could never do enough for their guests. Many other establishments could learn about customer service from them.

The bright young expert rangers (George, Duncan, Kate, Imogen, Allie, et al) took us on wonderful walks and were expert in locating the various fauna (esp. birds) and views of the glens for us to enjoy. The meals (breakfast, lunch (usually, a packed lunch to take along), tea and dinner were very fine, prepared by Lady Lucy and served in the beautiful home in which they live. The cabins in which the guests stay are nearby and more than adequate.
