A truly wonderful experience. If you want to see Scottish wildlife with like-minded people and be treated almost royally by Sir John, Lady Lucinda and their remarkable team then you need look no further. We saw otter, beaver, golden eagle, pine martin and a wide variety of birds and plants whilst under the watchful eyes of the young and talented ranger team. In these days of feigned concern and superficial commitment it was truly an experience to be in the company of a team that really is making a difference to conservation and conservation education. Just read all the other five star reviews as they express their views more eloquently than I. On a more personal note, Lady Lucinda and her catering crew provided excellent food - which was especially welcomed by my wife who is a coeliac (gluten intolerant) and a strict vegetarian – and that is a difficult combination to cater for!

This was an exceptional week of fun, laughter, creativity and wildlife. Tutored by the outstanding Jay Griffiths (wild: an elemental journey; pip,pip etc) with additional teaching and talks from the owner and author John Lister-Kaye (song of the rolling earth, nature child). The wit, patience, knowledge and sheer genius of the tutors made this a fantastic learning experience without feeling a sense of pressure. The wildlife seen was exceptional with pine marten, bottlenose dolphins, red deer, red squirrel, golden eagles, otters, stone chat all seen along with the beavers on the loch which are part of an introduction experiment. They're busy creating habitat patches of fallen birch and adding to the structure of the ecosystem. The group was mixed with couples and singles, male female and a wide mix of ages. Al had one thing in common a desrire to write about the natural world, all succeeded in improving their skills. Brilliant!

This was an exceptional week of fun, laughter, creativity and wildlife. Staying at Aigas has been a dream come true. The location is stunning, the lodges cosy, overlooking the hens and allowing excellent views of the cute red squirrels running up and down the trees. The programme is quite hectic but every day brings excellent trips filled with wildlife, stunning scenery and the excellent knowledge of the rangers. They are all a very friendly bunch at Aigas, you feel part of the family, not just a playing guest. The food was glorious, all fresh home made meals and a delicious soup for starters. For me the best part were the hide visits. In the mornings around 5 enjoying the sights and sounds of dawn, the serenity of the place. In the evenings the beaver and pine marten hide. How privileged I felt to be able to see these cute animals. Aigas House is a stunning place and being given a guided tour by Lady Lucy was a highlight of the week. The gardens are so welcoming and allow you to feel really at peace. all in all a phantastic experience!

Staying at Aigas has been a dream come true. The location is stunning, the lodges cosy, overlooking the hens and allowing excellent views of the cute red squirrels running up and down the trees. The programme is quite hectic but every day brings excellent trips filled with wildlife, stunning scenery and the excellent knowledge of the rangers.
