The Aigas season begins in April and will finish in October. We are running more programmes than ever to cater for a wide variety of interests. If your holiday with us is dependant on dates, please search the calendar below to find out what is on during your preferred dates. Alternatively, you might like to look at a tailormade holiday and create your own itinerary.

Our second visit and it was as good as the first. We went on the Highland House Party group and had a great time. Good variety of things to do and the added bonus of something each evening too. Lord John and Lady Lucy are fantastic hosts and all the staff and rangers are extremely professional and helpful. The highlights of the week were the day spent in the Western Isle, especially Hillbillies bookshop and Inverewe Gardens and the day spent on the Black Isle – with the visit to Foulis Castle being the highlight of the day. Don’t forget to take some time out too to walk around the loch and the grounds of Aigas itself. As for the accommodation – we have stayed in the usual cabins but we also paid extra to stay in the Round House this visit and it was fabulous.

The graciousness of out hosts, wildlife writer Sir John Lister-Kaye and Lady Lucy Lister-Kaye was most welcoming. The bright young expert rangers (George, Duncan, Kate, Imogen, Allie, et al) took us on wonderful walks and were expert in locating the various fauna (esp. birds) and views of the glens for us to enjoy. The meals (breakfast, lunch (usually, a packed lunch to take along), tea and dinner were very fine, prepared by Lady Lucy and served in the beautiful home in which they live. The cabins in which the guests stay are nearby and more than adequate.

The Rangers were very knowledgable, personable and multi-talented (proven at the Ceilidh evening). Our photography course with Laurie Campbell was very instructional and enjoyable. Shame the dolphins did not follow the script but photographing pine martens was a memorable experience and was the same with leaping salmon and trout. Good accommodation, lovely people, the scenic Highlands and to top it all off delicious evening meals in a very grand setting. Thanks to you all.
