The Aigas season begins in April and will finish in October. We are running more programmes than ever to cater for a wide variety of interests. If your holiday with us is dependant on dates, please search the calendar below to find out what is on during your preferred dates. Alternatively, you might like to look at a tailormade holiday and create your own itinerary.

Staying at Aigas has been a dream come true. The location is stunning, the lodges cosy, overlooking the hens and allowing excellent views of the cute red squirrels running up and down the trees. The programme is quite hectic but every day brings excellent trips filled with wildlife, stunning scenery and the excellent knowledge of the rangers. They are all a very friendly bunch at Aigas, you feel part of the family, not just a playing guest. The food was glorious, all fresh home made meals and a delicious soup for starters. For me the best part were the hide visits. In the mornings around 5 enjoying the sights and sounds of dawn, the serenity of the place. In the evenings the beaver and pine marten hide. How privileged I felt to be able to see these cute animals. Aigas House is a stunning place and being given a guided tour by Lady Lucy was a highlight of the week. The gardens are so welcoming and allow you to feel really at peace. all in all a phantastic experience!

During our week of field trips guided by knowledgeable and friendly rangers, I gained insight into the cultural and natural history of the Highlands. We studied the floral, fauna, geology and history while hiking on the property as well as on field trips across the Highlands and also learned about forestry and ecological restoration. Our hosts shared their home graciously with us, the food was delicious, the cottages very comfortable and quiet and I enjoyed the freedom of just walking about the grounds birding and botanizing on my own. This is an outstanding center for the exploration of the wildlife of the highland. The rangers that escort the parties out daily are very knowledgable and well versed in their roles. To top this there is comfortable accommodation and stunningly good food. The location has its own Loch with beavers and Highland wildcats. Both are part of a major conservation projects to save and nurture these species. The whole adventure is a credit to Sir John Lister-Kaye and Lady Lucy Lister-Kaye. I will return next year.
