Programmes By Date - Aigas Field Centre

I spent a Wildlife week at Aigas in June 2012, and was more than satisfied with the experience. Clearly the result of many years planning, the courses at Aigas are well-honed to give you insight into the often secret side of British wildlife. The ranger staff are knowledgable and charming, the setting fabulous and the house and kitchen a delight. The size of the groups - ours was 7 people - gives the chance to get to know each other well, and we enjoyed each other's company as a bonus. I undertook quite a bit of extra-curricular activity on some early morning outings, and was encouraged and surported in this by the staff.

Whether your interest is in history, geology or nature, you’ll find such enthusiasm and expert knowledge in the form of Aigas Rangers, to grow your knowledge and experience. The quality of the food is superb and nothing is too much trouble to cater for specialist dietary requirements. I go for the wildlife and it never fails to captivate. The evening hide for the pine martens is brilliant and has now attracted a badger as a regular visitor. The rangers are well prepared and know where to take you to ensure you maximise on wildlife viewing. Even the highest quality of equipment, in the Swarovski scopes, ensure that you see what is around no matter what the distance. Well done, Aigas. You go from strength to strength in helping to build peopl's appreciation for wildlife and it's great to know that our visits help to contribute to it's conservation.

The quality of the food is superb and nothing is too much trouble to cater for specialist dietary requirements. I go for the wildlife and it never fails to captivate. The evening hide for the pine martens is brilliant and has now attracted a badger as a regular visitor.
