Flavio Winkler Ford

Staff Naturalist

Botany is the subject that interests Flavio the most. That said, all aspects of the natural world fascinate him, and he has previously worked with a variety of species from jaguars in Brazil’s Pantanal to the endangered blue ground beetle on Dartmoor. He studied Conservation Biology and Ecology at the University of Exeter, has worked as a zookeeper, and has also coordinated a volunteer wildlife scheme. In his spare time, Flavio enjoys outdoor sports, bird ringing and boxing.
