Programmes By Date - Aigas Field Centre

I spent a week at Aigas primarily to bird watch and enjoy the nature. The gardens, walks and the whole plantation is lush with vegetation, lakes and many paths for walking. The cabins were very comfortable and clean and the main mansion is in itself beautifully kept and open to guests all the time. Every evening before dinner there are free drinks and the food is home cooked everyday by Lady Lucy and her staff. The rangers are a group of lovely young people who are very knowledgeable about everything and are very helpful nothing is too much for them.They always have a smile on their faces. I have only good things to say about Aigas and spent a wonderfully magical week there.

I have only good things to say about Aigas and spent a wonderfully magical week there.
We recently spent 2 nights at Aigas, while driving through Scotland. We were not with a tour group. Aigas is truly a special, magical place. The love invested into Aigas is obvious. The house itself is a grand country estate, but also a well loved home where many generations have lived. The dinners in the Grand Hall were memorable. I am a picky eater.....if the menu was something I don't care for, the kitchen made me a delicious alternative. Aigas is especially unique because you are a guest at a grand family home. The hosts and staff ensure that every guest is treated like family. Let them know what you want to see/do, and they will make it happen. Highly recommended.

We recently spent 2 nights at Aigas, while driving through Scotland. We were not with a tour group. Aigas is truly a special, magical place. The love invested into Aigas is obvious. The house itself is a grand country estate, but also a well loved home where many generations have lived. The dinners in the Grand Hall were memorable. On the contrary, the rangers were so engaging and so patient in helping us to use binoculars, how to identify different birds and really help to build our confidence and enthusiasm. We were given really helpful tips fo the best time and places to spot the beavers and had some very successful hide visits, also seeing the pine martins and wild cats, as well as a host of red squirrels and a young greater spotted woodpecker who was beautiful The food was exception and whilst we were initially hesitant about communal meals, these quickly became the highlight of our time there and Lady Lucy and Sir John were the perfect hosts.
