The Aigas season begins in April and will finish in October. We are running more programmes than ever to cater for a wide variety of interests. If your holiday with us is dependant on dates, please search the calendar below to find out what is on during your preferred dates. Alternatively, you might like to look at a tailormade holiday and create your own itinerary.

This was the first time we had really done any kind of wildlife watching since we were children, and we were very apprehensive about standing out and coming across as idiots. On the contrary, the rangers were so engaging and so patient in helping us to use binoculars, how to identify different birds and really help to build our confidence and enthusiasm. We were given really helpful tips fo the best time and places to spot the beavers and had some very successful hide visits, also seeing the pine martins and wild cats, as well as a host of red squirrels and a young greater spotted woodpecker who was beautiful The food was exception and whilst we were initially hesitant about communal meals, these quickly became the highlight of our time there and Lady Lucy and Sir John were the perfect hosts.

The young team of rangers were well organised, cheerful and extremely knowlegable about the local wildlife and history of the region. They made each daily outing a fascinating event. Rather than being on the fringes of hospitality, Sir John and Lady Lucy were very much in evidence each day to ensure we were well fed and part of the 'house party' atmosphere of their beautiful home. I certainly hope to return and thought it was worth every penny of the not insignificant holiday cost.

Went to Uist with the Aigas Field Center. If you enjoy bird watching, walking, great food and comfortable accommodations, you need to check out this trip. Calum, Louis, and Martyn were fantastic guides. The group saw 93 species of birds, 7 mammals, and 10 invertebrates. I’m new to birding, so to be honest, I actually was only able to identify about half the birds (but not from the lack of the rangers and fellow travelers trying to help me.) To get the full benefit on the walks, I would highly recommend renting a good pair of binoculars from Aigas if you don’t have some. The trip isn’t just about nature. You will also visit historic sites and learn about living on Uist.
