Programmes By Date - Aigas Field Centre

I am so please that I finally got to stay at Aigas Field Centre. I did the Walking and Wildlife week which was a wonderful experience. There is a lot of wildlife on the estate including badgers, deer, pine martens and Scottish wildcats which are part of a breeding programme. We saw birds and other wildlife on the walks too.Sir John, Lady Lucy and their daughter Hermione were great hosts and were extremely hospitable. Everything is very organised in terms of meal timings and excursions. They will cater for different diets. The staff do a fantastic job and are on top of everything.The rangers are so knowledgeable and enthusiastic - it was a pleasure spending time with them. I would highly recommend staying at Aigas Field Centre - other guests seemed very happy with their experiences too. Many of them had been several times before. I hope to visit again in the future.

The Naturedays at Aigas have a great programme for helping children understand all about the diversity of wildlife. The Aigas staff and rangers were welcoming, enthusiastic, extremely well informed, accommodating. I learned an incredible amount about the history, culture, people, and antiquities of the area. Everyday had a talk at Magnus House or a field trip in the local area or even to Orkney and Isle of Skye. I had traveled from the US to experience what the Aigas experience had to offer, and I believe that my stay there and adventures in northern Scotland were well worth the price.
