The Aigas season begins in April and will finish in October. We are running more programmes than ever to cater for a wide variety of interests. If your holiday with us is dependant on dates, please search the calendar below to find out what is on during your preferred dates. Alternatively, you might like to look at a tailormade holiday and create your own itinerary.

I have had three exceptional experiences with Aigas. First was a memorable week-long guided tour of the Western Isles. The next was an informal stay at Aigas Field Centre with a friend. Last summer I took my granddaughter for the week long "Nature's Child" and it was a perfect week with such thoughtful care and attention from everyone. Being at Aigas is rather like being pampered by a loving and congenial extended family. The accommodations were very comfortable, the food was memorable and the well-planned and presented activities that encouraged children to grow closer to nature were outstanding. I could go on and on about the good things, starting with everyone who makes Aigas such a special place. The only flaw I can think of is that the wonderful Aigas' experiences make me long to return.

Last summer I took my granddaughter for the week long "Nature's Child" and it was a perfect week with such thoughtful care and attention from everyone. Being at Aigas is rather like being pampered by a loving and congenial extended family. The accommodations were very comfortable, the food was memorable and the well-planned and presented activities that encouraged children to grow closer to nature were outstanding. I could go on and on about the good things, starting with everyone who makes Aigas such a special place. The only flaw I can think of is that the wonderful Aigas' experiences make me long to return.
It's not easy to describe this place as it is so unique. If you like being out doors and you love nature then you will adore this place. We stayed here for the wildlife week and got to see a lot of different birds, and other various wildlife across much of this area of Scotland. The estate has Hides on it and you can spend evenings and early mornings watching Beavers, Badgers and Pine Martin. However you won't get much spare time as they keep you really busy. Trips out are in groups on a minibus. Our group was with 6 lovely Canadians and we got on really well. Who you are with will make so much difference to your enjoyment of the holiday. The Rangers that take you out each day are knowledgable and friendly. Thanks to Amy You don't need to be really fit as walking is limited to gentle strolls whilst watching for Golden Eagles!. Breakfast and Dinner are taken communally in the hall. Wonderful home cooked food so you will put on weight. Packed lunches are supplied on days out. Evenings often include talks or Whiskey tasting or Hide trips. This is not a hotel. The accommodation is in cabins with your own bathroom but shared lounge facilities. This is what let's this place down. They are clean but very basic, but hey you won't get much time to sit around in your cabin at all. Remember to take soaps, shampoo and other personal items. If you ask you can borrow a hair dryer. What makes this place is the passion of the owners John and Lucy Lister-Kaye and their son Warwick. They are there on mornings and evenings to get involved and tell annecdotes. They do other special trips like Gardens or Fungi but this place is all about getting close to nature and is a true experience

I just wrote a wonderful review on the Aigas Facebook site but lost the connection so here I am. I just visited Aigas Field Center last week. The experience was magical! From the welcoming staff to the wonderful beautiful home and grounds. I came with Road Scholar and loved every minute of the trip to the Scottish Highlands. Sir John and Lady Lucy made us feel welcome and were superb hosts. The grounds were beautiful and so was the home. The garden was breathtaking and the accommodations were cozy and very well kept. The experiences on our road trips to see the sights were enhanced by professional, knowledgeable and personable rangers as well as Academic Placement Students from University.We interacted with the stunning lands of the Highlands on comfortable mini buses. Individual needs were always taken into consideration. On the Aigas grounds we had opportunities to see animals in their natural habitat. We learned about the endangered Wildcats and witnessed Badgers and Pinemartens at night in hides( small sheds with windows) I was utterly impressed with Sir John Lister Kaye for creating this environment and found him brilliant and quite funny. The meals were delicious and honored our dietary needs. Compliments to Lady Lucy and her wonderful kitchen staff. If you have the opportunity to travel with Road Scholar or on your own, consider a trip to Aigas Field Center.A perfect educational experience for children and adults. I miss being there and will cherish the time I spent there.Thankfully I have many pictures of this unique experience.
