Programmes By Date - Aigas Field Centre

Merkinch Activity Group spent a very happy day at Aigas last week and thoroughly enjoyed themselves. Several people commented that it was their favourite trip so far. The staff were exceptionally knowledgeable and friendly making us all feel very welcome and informed at all times. We all enjoyed seeing the wildcats and hearing from Silver about the project with the chimpanzees in Uganda. The walk around the loch was just beautiful and again, it was fabulous to hear from staff about the beaver, native plants and history of the estate.

Spent a super week at Aigas honing photography skills under the expert eye of Nature Photographer extraordinaire Laurie Campbell. His knowledge is second to none, the wildlife was amazing - even having to get up at 3.30m to see Black Grouse Leck! They have a baited Pine Martin and Badger hide on site enabling you to get really really close without disturbing them. Comfortable accommodation, tasty dinners, super hosts, great team - Rangers so helpful, obliging and experts in their own rights. Thoroughly recommend if you care about wildlife and the countryside as they have a wide range of holidays on offer.

His knowledge is second to none, the wildlife was amazing - even having to get up at 3.30m to see Black Grouse Leck! They have a baited Pine Martin and Badger hide on site enabling you to get really really close without disturbing them. I will be returning for a third visit in 2016, and also joined an Aigas trip to Costa Rica. That speaks for itself.
