Programmes By Date - Aigas Field Centre

We stayed for a week in October and can't wait to book another holiday here. Lord John, Lady Lucy, Warwick, the rangers and guides and every member of staff couldn't have done more to make sure our holiday was as good as it could be. We absolutely loved the log cabins which were warm and cosy and totally in keeping with the ethos of Aigas - lots of space, everything we needed, a kitchen area with hospitality tray and a really comfortable living area for everyone to meet if they wanted, all set in the wonderful grounds of Aigas House. We went there for the Highland House Party week and had changeable weather but that didn't affect our enjoyment in any way. Every day was a different expereincve and we could wax lyrical for pages and pages - the food was wonderful and every consideration was made for special diets and likes and dislikes. The wildlife and scenery were really amazing and the whole experience was quite unlike anything we had experienced before. We cannot wait to return in 2014. If you have the chance to attend one of the open days - jump at it, you won't be disappointed

Was not surprised to find the weather too cool and wet. Out of ten days three were sunny and the sky blue. Those three days were a surprise. A traveler comes prepared. The cabins we stayed in were fine. Each room had its private bathroom. All meals, teas and talks took place in the manor house. Three fine dogs were a bonus.

The hosts at Aigas were Sir John and Lady Lucy Lister Kaye, he a naturalist and writer and she a gardener and superb cook. Both were gracious, welcoming and most informative. The rangers who drove the vehicles to take us to Scottish places of interest were very capable and kind. Scotland,in the Highlands is bewitching. Was not surprised to find the weather too cool and wet. Out of ten days three were sunny and the sky blue. Those three days were a surprise. A traveler comes prepared. The cabins we stayed in were fine. Each room had its private bathroom. All meals, teas and talks took place in the manor house. Three fine dogs were a bonus.

It is kind of like being a kid in a camp except your own room and bath, great food for all meals (or picnic lunches to take!). I found out last year I am more Scottish than anything else, and I felt so very comfortable in Scotland and all the people I met. So many memories I made and I definitely want to return to Aigas! Sir John and Lady Lucy Lister-Kaye are amazing, professional, welcoming hosts. The rangers (taught there) are also nice and informative! I highly recommend it and NO SINGLE SUPPLEMENT!

I took the Home & Gardens tour during the week of my birthday in August, 2023. This is a FANTASTIC tour and I met so many wonderful people (5 others who came separately from England & Scotland) and 16 others on a Road Scholar trip from all over the U.S.). We got to see many beautiful homes (and castles!) and gardens in Scotland. Sometimes we'd go in a van for the day and the last day we even went by a beautiful, comfortable train to upper Scotland. It is kind of like being a kid in a camp except your own room and bath, great food for all meals (or picnic lunches to take!). I found out last year I am more Scottish than anything else, and I felt so very comfortable in Scotland and all the people I met. So many memories I made and I definitely want to return to Aigas!
