Programmes By Date - Aigas Field Centre

I spent a week at Aigas primarily to bird watch and enjoy the nature. The gardens, walks and the whole plantation is lush with vegetation, lakes and many paths for walking. The cabins were very comfortable and clean and the main mansion is in itself beautifully kept and open to guests all the time. Every evening before dinner there are free drinks and the food is home cooked everyday by Lady Lucy and her staff. The rangers are a group of lovely young people who are very knowledgeable about everything and are very helpful nothing is too much for them.They always have a smile on their faces. I have only good things to say about Aigas and spent a wonderfully magical week there.

The quality of the food is superb and nothing is too much trouble to cater for specialist dietary requirements. I go for the wildlife and it never fails to captivate. The evening hide for the pine martens is brilliant and has now attracted a badger as a regular visitor. The rangers are well prepared and know where to take you to ensure you maximise on wildlife viewing. Even the highest quality of equipment, in the Swarovski scopes, ensure that you see what is around no matter what the distance. Well done, Aigas. You go from strength to strength in helping to build peopl's appreciation for wildlife and it's great to know that our visits help to contribute to it's conservation.

It is the second time that I have been to Aigas and it was even better. The facilities, staff, food and the estate are wonderful. Some meals were made especially for me and this was much appreciated. Covid restrictions were in place and adhered to rigorously making me feel safe. The rangers were full of knowledge, very helpful and cheerful. The various hides for pine martins, badgers and squirrels were particularly good. Being autumn ,the landscape was very colourful with the trees changing colour and the visits out in the minibuses were superb. Sit John and lady Lucy were superb hosts and should be very proud of their place.

Some meals were made especially for me and this was much appreciated. Covid restrictions were in place and adhered to rigorously making me feel safe. The rangers were full of knowledge, very helpful and cheerful. The various hides for pine martins, badgers and squirrels were particularly good.
