The Aigas season begins in April and will finish in October. We are running more programmes than ever to cater for a wide variety of interests. If your holiday with us is dependant on dates, please search the calendar below to find out what is on during your preferred dates. Alternatively, you might like to look at a tailormade holiday and create your own itinerary.

I'd met many people that said how wonderful Aigas was and this October I experienced it for myself and wasn't disappointed. From the first greeting at the station to the last goodbye I had nothing but praise for all the staff and our 'experts', as they say in the brochure nothing is too much trouble, and it wasn't. The food was fabulous and I was presented with a cake. My highlights were seeing a pine marten for the first time and being within a few feet of a stag with a hind and a yearling but there were many more wonderful birds and animals on our weeks journey. Last summer I took my granddaughter for the week long "Nature's Child" and it was a perfect week with such thoughtful care and attention from everyone. Being at Aigas is rather like being pampered by a loving and congenial extended family. The accommodations were very comfortable, the food was memorable and the well-planned and presented activities that encouraged children to grow closer to nature were outstanding. I could go on and on about the good things, starting with everyone who makes Aigas such a special place. The only flaw I can think of is that the wonderful Aigas' experiences make me long to return.

I have had three exceptional experiences with Aigas. First was a memorable week-long guided tour of the Western Isles. The next was an informal stay at Aigas Field Centre with a friend. Last summer I took my granddaughter for the week long "Nature's Child" and it was a perfect week with such thoughtful care and attention from everyone. Being at Aigas is rather like being pampered by a loving and congenial extended family. The accommodations were very comfortable, the food was memorable and the well-planned and presented activities that encouraged children to grow closer to nature were outstanding. I could go on and on about the good things, starting with everyone who makes Aigas such a special place. The only flaw I can think of is that the wonderful Aigas' experiences make me long to return.
This was my second visit and I certainly hope to come again. Accommodation and catering are excellent and the centre is in a splendid setting within its own grounds, which encompass woodland, moorland and a small loch, the home of beavers. The daily field trips were well planned to cover a variety of Highland habitats and to encounter many species - golden eagles, red deer, otters, dolphins and pine martens perhaps the most memorable among the great many seen. The rangers who lead the trips are first-rate in their knowledge and enthusiasm and their consideration for the groups in their care. Both my stays were for one week: the first (in 2010), "Walking and Wildlife", requiring more physical stamina than the second, "Aigas Wildlife", whicxh involved walking but of a gentler nature. For both, good waterproofs and footwear were essential, binoculars too, although these can be hired. Apart from wildlife weeks, there are others focussed on different topics. For example, there was a "Creative writing" group during my second visit, and the interaction between the groups over meals is stimulating.
