Aigas provides unique wildlife experiences for all ages in a stunning setting. Away from it all, there are pine martens, red squirrels, badgers, otters and beavers. Ospreys feed on the Loch, golden eagles soar overhead and and crested tits frequent the bird feeders. The staff are knowledgeable and ever so keen to share their passion for the wildlife with the guests. You feel more like a member of the Aigas family than a guest, though. There is so much to do and to see on site and in the local area. You will not want to leave this beautiful wildlife paradise!

I visited Aigas on a Road Scholar program, called Walking in the Scottish Highlands. During our week of field trips guided by knowledgeable and friendly rangers, I gained insight into the cultural and natural history of the Highlands. We studied the floral, fauna, geology and history while hiking on the property as well as on field trips across the Highlands and also learned about forestry and ecological restoration. Our hosts shared their home graciously with us, the food was delicious, the cottages very comfortable and quiet and I enjoyed the freedom of just walking about the grounds birding and botanizing on my own. I was here with a tour group for a week and cannot sing the praises of the environmental education program offered here. If you are looking for the best program on the West Highlands with top notch rangers as guides on history, archaeology, restoration, glorious gardens to stroll through, excellent meals and a location that blends all of the importance of the West Highlands together, Aigas is the best choice.
